Mission

The mission and vision of MGWC are in line with the Great Commission as described in Matthew 28:16-20. The story tells us how the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had instructed them to go. Upon seeing him, they worshipped him, but some still had doubts. Then, Jesus appeared before them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Concrete

Praising Almighty God is an integral part of our worship. By expressing our gratitude, admiration, and reverence through praises, we demonstrate our love for Him. However, worship encompasses more than just praising, and it includes obeying God’s commandments, living according to the biblical way of life, conversing with Him through prayer, gathering and fellowshipping with other believers, and offering Him praises. At MGWC, we treat praise and worship as a personal time with God, and we honor it with respect. During our praise and worship sessions, we stand and glorify Him in whatever way the Holy Spirit leads us, whether through tears, hallelujahs, wave offerings, or other expressions. We have the freedom to kneel before the Lord, move about the sanctuary (2 Samuel 6:14), raise our hands to Him, and so on. You are encouraged to worship as the Holy Spirit leads you, and remember that John 8:36 says, “If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Communion Sunday is a time of holy time of worship when we come together as one body to remember and celebrate what Christ did for us. MGWC will have communion on the first Sunday of the month.
