Bishop Damon Johnson met the love of his life, Lady Stacey White, during his high school years. After graduating, he joined the Marine Corps. While in the military, he became a part of a non-denominational ministry in North Carolina and developed a stronger desire to serve the Lord. When he returned to Baltimore, he married Lady Stacey and together they raised two beautiful children, Autumn and Damon Jr.
Bishop Damon’s dedication to serving the Lord is truly inspiring. For a decade, he committed himself to his calling, using his talents as a Minister of Music, an ordained Minister, and an Elder. From a young age, it was prophesied that he would lead a branch of Zion, and in 2010, he established the Manifested Glory Worship Center. Since then, he has worked tirelessly to study the Word and pray for God’s guidance and anointing for the church and its members.
As a gifted teacher, Bishop Damon has a unique ability to bring the truth of God’s Word to life through his illustrative teaching style, earning him the nickname “The Sight & Sound Preacher.” Beyond MGWC’s four walls, he has ministered to the homeless and collaborated with local schools and communities to provide spiritual and natural resources to families in need.
Bishop Damon’s life is a testament to his faith. He believes in living a balanced Christian life, taking time to enjoy his passions for travel, writing and composing Gospel music, and mentoring young couples and at-risk teenagers. His ultimate desire is to spread the Good News of the Gospel to anyone who will listen, continually referring to Matthew 6:33, which is MGWC’s foundational scripture. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
